Our restaurant serves a variety of fresh food prepared daily — local Tanzanian, international and speciality Indian cooking, inspired by the chef’s daily trip into Mto wa Mbu for the freshest produce. Special requests are catered for; just tell us at breakfast.
The rooms, cocktail lounge and restaurant are furnished in an intimate and comfortable manner, making the most of the site’s views and natural setting.
Dinner on the verandah
Fresh food prepared daily — local and international cooking, served under a wide verandah with the gardens dark beyond it.
Lunch in the garden
A table laid under the acacias, with the lodge grounds all around you.
The sundowner
A refreshing dip, then a drink under the African sun. Pool table and darts for whoever is still standing.

Served alongside Tanzanian and international dishes — and one of the things guests write about most.
Dinner in your tent
A table laid on your own verandah or inside the tent, arranged with reception during the day.

After dinner · 9pm nightly
The nine o’clock show
Every night at 9 o’clock, a local youth group performs a 45-minute show of traditional singing, dancing and music — lively, warm, and a lovely introduction or ending to a tour.

Two swimming pools sit among the acacias with a pool bar beside them. Inside, the lounge has DSTV for whoever needs the score, and the main bar is fully stocked with cold beer, spirits and wine.
