Long Stays · Extended Stays

Stay a while longer

Weeks rather than nights on the Great Rift Valley — a peaceful, secure base in acacia woodland, ten minutes from Lake Manyara National Park and two hours from Arusha.

Who stays longer

For people whose trip
does not fit in a weekend

Researchers & fieldworkers

A settled base close to Lake Manyara, Mto wa Mbu and the Rift Valley escarpment.

Photographers

Early starts for the parks, and time to go back for the light you missed.

Remote workers & digital nomads

A quiet cottage with power points to charge your kit. Internet is available on request — ask us about it before you book.

Safari & slow travellers

Rest between legs of a longer trip through northern Tanzania, rather than living out of a bag.

Volunteers

Volunteering with a local school, community project or conservation initiative? Ask about our special long-stay rates for volunteers.

Professionals, organisations & groups

Accommodation for teams, project staff and groups working in the area. Group rates are available, and we can arrange accommodation for guides in the village nearby.

Why Nsya for a longer stay

Comfortable, quiet,
and looked after

A small lodge with a dedicated team whose mission is to exceed our guests’ expectations. On a longer stay, that means a team who get to know you and help arrange whatever the next week holds.

A cottage room with a double and a single bed, mosquito nets and an elephant mural
An ensuite cottage bathroom with a walk-in shower
Loungers and umbrellas beside the pool

A home away from home

Ensuite cottages built in traditional African style, with handmade furniture, hot water showers and flush toilets.

Power where you need it

Electricity and power points in every room for charging laptops, batteries and phones.

Secure and peaceful

A fully fenced property with guards at night. The gates stay locked, and only residents and staff are on site.

Fresh food every day

A restaurant serving food prepared daily, with special requests catered for, and a fully stocked bar.

Room to unwind

Two swimming pools, a pool bar and a lounge with DSTV for the end of a long day.

Mosquito protection

Every room is fully mosquito-screened at the windows, with nets for the beds.

A base for exploring

The parks on your doorstep

With more time, you can see Lake Manyara in different seasons, spend a day in Tarangire, walk into Mto wa Mbu’s market, and still be back for dinner. Walking safaris, night safaris and village cultural tours can all be organised through the lodge.
